My name is Cassie Langstraat and if I could describe myself in one word it would be:

Passionate.

I’m a feeler. Always have been. And that is precisely what this blog is going to be about. The deep rooted passions in my soul. I pride myself on being an eclectic person and not adhering to one set identity, so, my writings will embody that. There are so many things in the world that interest me and that I am curious about but these topics will probably be the ones that get contemplated and written about most.

Reading. Writing. Gardening. Feminism. Traveling. Fitness. Oh, and food. Lots of good food.

Also…

I am a recent graduate of The University of Montana and now work as a Freelance Writer/Development Coordinator. I was born and raised under the big skies of Montana and now have migrated west to try out California life. (PS I LOVE it!) In my spare time I enjoy reading heady philosophical novels and fishing in the dark.

I have no fancy publications or things to brag about, I just am really passionate about a lot of things and want to share that fire in my soul with all of you folks.

  1. Hi Cassie, thanks for finding and following my blog. The copy of ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover’ on my blog header is actually my mother’s copy. She bought it secretly in the Sixties, from the village shop in a brown paper bag. Never knew my Mum was such a radical! SD

    • Greetings Phoebe. I am very quickly understanding why so many people are into it. It is just a huge online community trying to better their writing and thoughts and sharing their lives.     • Thanks Diana. I just checked out your blog and read about your trip to SF. I live in the bay area very close to san fran so it was fun to see your reactions to everything.. But now I want to go to china town for food though. 🙂 Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog.

    • Thanks Carla! Yeah I absolutely loved my English degree. I loved pretty much all of my classes and actually enjoyed going to school unlike most of my friends. I will always be thankful I got my degree in something I love. I do miss talking about books everyday though. Like, A LOT.
